THE ITSELF HAND

Using actuators, robot hands are to be designed

A number of transforming cylinders are connected to create the robot hand. Because the central portion of these cylinders is attached to actuators, they are flexible. One morphing cylinder contains 6–8 actuators, and the robot hand is made by joining a number of these cylinders of different sorts. The entire robot hand will be under the control of the actuator network.
